The Ceremony
An Invitation to the Rite
On the afternoon of June 10, 2026, at Narra Hill in Tagaytay, Zoë and George will be married before God and the people who have shaped them. The ceremony is a Christian garden wedding, with a blend of Filipino tradition, worship, and Kenyan heritage — three threads gathered into a single cord.
The rite will be officiated by Pastor Christopher, with the groom's father, Rt. Rev. Moses Gichuru Maina, joining in prayer over the couple. What follows is the full order of service so that you can follow along, sing along, and join in prayer at the moments the couple have set aside for you.
Processional
The wedding party walks in — grandparents, parents, sponsors, the wedding party, and finally the bride. Two songs frame the entrance and prepare the room.
Wedding Ceremony
The rite itself: worship, the word, vows, and the symbolic ceremonies that blend Filipino tradition with the couple's Christian faith and Kenyan heritage.
Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
